Hey babes – happy March! We’re finally hitting those warmer days and have summer to look forward to. Needless to say, we’re totally stoked. Bring on the spring and the shorter hemlines, feminine florals, and super cute sandals. We’re totally ready.
This week for our collection, we’re totally crushing on the Classic LBD look – well, our version of the Classic LBD. We’ll call it the Not-So-Classic LBD. This look is perfect for breaking out on any upcoming night out or date night and is guaranteed to have all eyes on you for all of the right reasons. Read on to discover our favorite picks for this updated edgy look that is bound to steal hearts all day or nightlong.
Piece #1 – The Super Sexy LBD
Duh – this piece has to be first! Our version of the perfect little LBD is getting a chic update for spring, with a swingy silhouette, edgy detailing, and a super short hemline to show off those sexy legs. We love subtle feminine detailing like lacing or ruffles and are totally all about the flattering a-line silhouette that’s been popping up all over the runways of New York and London. This fit-and-flare shape looks totally amazing on women of all different shapes and sizes and is super freaking comfortable to wear, too!
Our top choice for the perfect little black dress? That would totally have to be the I’d Tie for You Mini Dress. This sexy little number is designed with that a-line silhouette that we totally love and a super short hemline to put your legs on display. The full-length sleeves and high neckline add a modest touch that keeps this piece on the classy side. And those ties at the wrists – absolutely to die for. All in all, this dress is the total definition of the not-so-classic LBD.
Piece #2 – The Sexy Sandal
Since it’s FINALLY spring, it’s time to retire those booties and close-toed heels. We’re ready to break out our favorite flirty little sandals and put our gorgeous legs on display. For your not-so-classic LBD, we’d recommend looking for heeled sandals rather than flat to keep your look super chic. Look for a pair with a minimalist shape that won’t take away from the edgy details of your dress and try to keep the color neutral.
What’s our favorite pair of heeled sandals? That would totally have to be our Carrson Block Heels – these totally gorgeous sandals have everything we’ve been dreaming of and more for this outfit. The sleek simple shape paired with the highly wearable block heel and neutral black or nude color makes these babies absolutely perfect for pairing with an LBD and showing off your legs.
Piece #3 – The Statement Clutch
Thinking of taking your look up a notch? Grab a statement clutch and you’ve got it. We love the idea of pairing an eye-catching handbag with the simple yet edgy LBD. This is the perfect way to add a much-needed pop of color or texture where you may have none and show off your unique style and personality.
We’re totally crushing on our SQUAD Clutch to complete the perfect not-so-classic LBD look. This gorgeous bag is designed with a modern geometric shape and a bold beaded design that will have heads turning no matter where you go. With the bold SQUAD graphic, you can let this bag do all of the talking for you.
Piece #4 – The Statement Earring
Because you’re going to have to put your bag down at some point. The statement earring is the perfect way to play up your LBD all-day or nightlong without looking like you tried too hard. We love the idea of adding a pop of color or interest near the face – with the simple color of the LBD and shoes, this is the perfect way to draw the eye towards your fabulous face.
For this look we’re opting for our not-so-simple Totally Abstract Hoop Earrings. With their simplistic yet edgy geometric design and gold finish, these earrings are perfect for drawing the eye without distracting from the rest of your totally gorgeous look. And if we’re going to be totally honest – the gold color coordinates perfectly with the gold beads in the SQUAD clutch and the gold buckles of our Carrson Block Heels. We love a head-to-toe look, after all.
