Hey babes – happy March! We’re finally hitting those warmer days and have summer to look forward to. Needless to say, we’re totally stoked. Bring on the spring and the shorter hemlines, feminine florals, and super cute sandals. We’re totally ready.
This week for our collection, we’re totally crushing on the Classic LBD look – well, our version of the Classic LBD. We’ll call it the Not-So-Classic LBD. This look is perfect for breaking out on any upcoming night out or date night and is guaranteed to have all eyes on you for all of the right reasons. Read on to discover our favorite picks for this updated edgy look that is bound to steal hearts all day or nightlong.
Piece #1 – The Super Sexy LBD
Duh – this piece has to be first! Our version of the perfect little LBD is getting a chic update for spring, with a swingy silhouette, edgy detailing, and a super short hemline to show off those sexy legs. We love subtle feminine detailing like lacing or ruffles and are totally all about the flattering sheath silhouette that’s been popping up all over the runways of New York and London. This fitted shape looks totally amazing on women of all different shapes and sizes and is super freaking comfortable to wear, too!
Our top choice for the perfect little black dress? That would totally have to be the Total Lady Midi Dress. This sexy little number features a timeless wiggle-dress inspired shape that’s fitted throughout with a cinched-in natural waistline for an ultra-flattering fit that gives you an enviable hourglass shape. A high neckline and rolled up sleeves add a feminine touch that plays perfectly with the deep black color. And that slit at the front – absolutely to die for. All in all, this dress is the total definition of the not-so-classic LBD.
Piece #2 – The Sexy Sandal
Since it’s FINALLY spring, it’s time to retire those booties and over-the-knee boots. We’re ready to break out our favorite flirty little pumps and put our gorgeous legs on display. For your not-so-classic LBD, we’d recommend looking for classic pointed-toe heels rather than flat to keep your look super chic. Look for a pair with a minimalist shape that won’t take away from the edgy details of your dress and try to keep the color neutral.
What’s our favorite pair? That would totally have to be our Black Heeled Pumps – these totally gorgeous pumps have everything we’ve been dreaming of and more for this outfit. The sleek simple shape paired with the sexy stiletto heel and neutral black color makes these babies absolutely perfect for pairing with an LBD and showing off your legs.
Piece #3 – The Statement Bag
Thinking of taking your look up a notch? Grab a statement handbag and you’ve got it. We love the idea of pairing an eye-catching bag with the simple yet edgy LBD. This is the perfect way to add a much-needed pop of color or texture where you may have none and show off your unique style and personality.
We’re totally crushing on our Marine Tote to complete the perfect not-so-classic LBD look. This gorgeous bag is designed with a modern oversized shape and a bold ocean blue color that will have heads turning no matter where you go. With the sleek minimalist design and totally gorgeous color, you can let this bag do all of the talking for you.
Piece #4 – The Cat Eye Sunglasses
Because you’re going to have to put your bag down at some point. A gorgeous pair of cat eye sunglasses is the perfect modern ladylike way to play up your LBD all-day long without looking like you tried too hard. We love the idea of adding a pop of color or interest near the face – with the simple color of the LBD and shoes, this is the perfect way to draw the eye towards your fabulous face.
For this look we’re opting for our not-so-simple Oversized Cat Eye Sunglasses. These gorgeous babies are the perfect way to take your ladylike look up a notch, with an eye-catching gold rim and a rich earthy tint. Their tapered slightly oversized shape makes them perfect for keeping the sun out of your eyes and the haters out of your way.
